Project Win

It is with great pleasure we announce our appointment as Specialist Sub-Contractor to Principal Contractor Ellmer Construction on the multi-million pound redevelopment of the Wellington Block, Covent Garden.

The Wellington block is a freehold island site located on the south east corner of Covent Garden comprising of six separate Victorian & Early 20th Century buildings, three of which are Grade II listed. The scheme will see the development of the site into a luxury 148-room hotel complete with retail, restaurants, spa & members club space for luxury lifestyle hotel brand The Other House.

Restore London works will include the design, supply and install of new Portland stonework to the planned contemporary areas of the Hotel. In addition, we have also been awarded the heritage cleaning package of the existing historic facades. These elevations are all unique in design & fabric, built using different materials including, but not limited to, stone, brick, glazed brick, stucco and granite.

““Restore London brought a level of quality craftsmanship and skill that is rare in today’s construction market. They worked collaboratively, bringing their wealth of knowledge to every detail. Their contribution to the National Portrait Gallery can be seen wherever you look in the project.” ”

““Restore London made our specified repairs so that they are almost invisible when viewing the room as a whole but are sufficiently different that an educated viewer could see where the mosaic had experienced areas of change when looking in detail. Perfect!” ”
