The Other House

Extensive facade works as Specialist Façade Contactor. This unique project comprised of seven separate Victorian & early 20th Century buildings, three of which are Grade II listed, retained and redesigned to sit around a five-storey glazed atrium providing luxury hotel and living space. Our works included surveys to all facades and extensive sampling, cleaning & restoration to retained sections of external facades and internal lightwell elevations comprised of various materials including brickwork, stucco and natural stone. Our team designed, procured and installed new Portland, Bath and York Stone units to the crowning sections of the building. Other works included new granite section installation and repairs to existing, glazed brickwork restoration and new leadwork and flashings. This project was a unique and inspirational example of what can be achieved through visionary and sympathetic design combined with traditional facade retention and restoration.

““Restore London made our specified repairs so that they are almost invisible when viewing the room as a whole but are sufficiently different that an educated viewer could see where the mosaic had experienced areas of change when looking in detail. Perfect!” ”
